Biography/Introduction Outline Speech

Biography/Introduction Outline Speech

Time parameters: 3-4 minutes

In this speech, I want you to just start speaking. The goal is to establish a benchmark to measure your progress throughout the semester. So, to get an A on this speech, you just need to fill the time and consider the bolded topics below.

You should have three parts:

1.      Give me your short biography: Where were you born? What is something you feel like the class should know about you? Tell us a funny story about you? Recount your journey to Regis.
2.      Discuss your life goals: What do you want to do with your life? Why? What inspired that decision? Is there a good story that underwrites this decision?
3.      How can public speaking help: tell me about your personal goals in this course? Is there a particular skill you would like to develop?
